Dad,

My wife and I are attending a lecture by Jim Wallis, editor of Sojourners magazine and author of the blog God’s Politics. He is having a discussion forum at the University of Iowa.  I am pretty excited to hear him speak, having read much of his stuff from Sojourners and read parts of his book God’s Politics; why the Right Gets it Wrong and the Left Doesn’t Get it. I like a lot of the stuff that Wallis has to say and I respect him as a voice of reason in the conversation on politics. He was on the Jon Stewart Show, which was the funniest thing, by far, that I have seem Jim Wallis engaged in. It is worth checking out. I will certainly have much to talk about tomorrow.
