Violations of our Constitution – Revolution

Son,

We have written a number of times about our Founding Fathers, and their intent for this great country. Today finds our country again at the threshold of revolution. But American Revolution has come to mean that we have an election and the people decide in a peaceful manner what direction the country should take. Whew, thank God for our Founding Fathers.

Speaking of God, what does She have to do with this country? Are we not a country of law? Governed by the noble principles of a Constitution? Does not the Constitution guarantee freedom for all? Freedom to worship as one pleases, or not worship at all? It does, and most Americans choose to worship. Some do not and that is their prerogative as guaranteed by the Constitution. These fundamental protections offered by the Constitution is what makes this country great.

But there is always danger.

In times of War our leaders have sometimes taken liberties with Constitutional law – all in the name of national security. History has shown that these liberties were ill advised. We are presently in a time of national security conflict – in not all-out war. Our leaders are again taking liberties. The blessing of liberty are insured by Legislative and Judicial bodies that have the courage to challenge the Executive body. That is happening and that is how it is supposed to work.

Some, or at least one, of the candidates for President want to mold the Constitution in that candidate’s vision of God. To create a constitution in his own image, if you will. The fear of God is not as great as the fear of a Theocratic loony like Huckabee. Huckabee believes this country has steered off course. Perhaps so. But the solution rests with the Constitutional authority given to the people – not to any one church.

An old joke around my home town is that we have too many churches and not enough strip joints. We say that and we laugh – because humor is in the ludicrous and absurd. We recognize that the values of people who attend to their faith are paramount in making good government.

Our government is off course – and it will be corrected by law abiding and worshiping folks in the next election – not by some degenerate wacko that righteously believes that he is the only person to understand God.

The corrections about to happen in this country are nothing short of Revolution – Our Government is about to experience a paradigm shift that is long overdue.

  1. Huckabee seems to want fundamentalism. It could never happen, even if Huckabilly really wanted to do it. I don’t think he does, he just wants the votes from those who do. He’s not stupid enough to want it or to try to do it as POTUS, he’s just stupid enough to say it.

Huckleberry is too conservative on religion and too liberal on criminals and the economy and immigration.

Huckabye? Huckabee wants to have adulterers, homosexuals and rape victims stoned to death. He also wants to make alcohol and music videos illegal, and make women 2nd class citizens and to take all girls out of school.

Oops, my bad, that’s another ‘religion’.

    Hey, anybody but the PIAPS!
