I am in no way an advocate of the war in Iraq. With that said our country is engaged in a War. A war whose outcome has serious consequence for America. John McCain is a man who understands war.

Mr. McCain is not a war monger. He is not a cruel man. Mr. McCain is a forceful man of great resolve – but he understands boundaries. This war is one of the greatest foreign policy disaster in the history of our nation. No matter the outcome – the cause will be debated forever. The sacrifice of our young men in a foreign land should never be used as a political promotion for a political party or candidate.

Agree with McCain or not – I certainly respect him for telling us as he sees it.
