Andy Williams – memorable songs (Videos)

Andy Williams captured me at my eighth grade graduation dance.  I danced with Jerri to the Williams rendition of “Moon River.”  I remember thinking that life could not get any better – and as it turns out – it did not.  All of that aside, Andy Williams came into the lives of millions over the years.

He was the old style crooner for sure, but when he sang the ‘Battle Hymn of the Republic’ at Robert Kennedy’s funeral he brought life and hope back into the mourning hearts of sadness.

He would later sing the “Speak Softly, Love” for the Godfather movie.  Again, Williams was so magnificent that his music overshadowed his own persona.  The perfect blending of Williams singing with the video imagery of the Godfather melded into a single memory.
