McCain Has Become Irrelevant

John McCain is speaking as we type this post.  McCain is presenting his new economic plan.  The fourth or fifth iteration in the past three weeks.  No one is listening because we all know that in two days, or a week, McCain will have a new and different proposal.  McCain is playing to the polls – he would rather confuse the electorate than lose an election.  McCain is becoming increasingly irrelevant.

America is in deeply troubled times.  We need serious leaders with serious solutions to serious problems.  We do not need a reactionary that blows with the wind.  McCain is such a reactionary.  We watch him and feel like we are following the bouncing ball in an old fashioned pin ball machine.

McCain has whacked the pin ball machine so many times that his campaign has tilted.  McCain’s GOP is nationalizing the banks.  They are invading foreign countries without provocation.  They are preaching hate and fear.  This sounds more like communism than America.

McCain contradicts himself almost every day.  He calls himself conservative – but he supports America policing the world.  He calls himself conservative – but he supports the nationalizing of banking.  He calls himself conservative – but he wants to use taxpayer money to get in the mortgage business.  He calls himself a conservative but he champions hate speech as viable political rhetoric.

No American who believes in the fundamental values of this great country listens to McCain.  McCain has lost the right to have a serious audience.
