Dad,

I am becoming keenly aware that there are really three people that are involved in this blog. Me, you, and the reader. Unlike traditional letters, this form of communication is expressly public, and we embrace that difference so that others may benefit from the conversation that takes place here. I have changed the look, feel, and functionality of this blog several times in an effort to accommodate all three of us. There is now a subscribe button to the right that readers can click on to add our blog to a reader, and an email option for those who want to get email updates. This will help us connect better with people who want to join in on the conversation.

Speaking of elections, I have registered as a democrat for the first time. I have also joined a Methodist church. It is time for me to make some decisions about my convictions and to make decisions based on how I want those convictions to play out in my life. So, I like Barack Obama, inexperience and all.
