Excellent Blogging
Son,
So we have been talking, and I wrote a post this morning, about where to take our blog. It occurred to me that we should be aware of fundamentals of excellence in whatever we do. Last summer (2006) I attended the National Rural Institute on Alcohol and Drug Abuse at the University of Wisconsin at Minomonie. I picked up some literature there.
Four things to think about in achieving excellence:
Care more than others think is wise.
Risk more than others think is safe.
Dream more than others think is practical.
Expect more than others think is possible.
I will follow and close with a comment from Vincent T. Lombardi, the famous coach of the championship Green Bay Packers.
“The quality of a person’s life is in direct proportion to their commitment to excellence, regardless of their chosen field of endeavor.”
Son – whatever we do, let us strive for excellence. The blogosphere is a new frontier, we must sometimes forge our own trails, hack through the forest, and sometimes we will sleep in the rain.
