Fred Thompson is running for Vice President. He wants to restore the office to one of ceremony and afternoon naps.

And you know what? That does not sound so bad after watching the current leadership.

I started writing this as a joke but as I think about it someone like Fred would be a good Vice President. He is not overly ambitious or energetic – but he does use sound reasoning and is consistent in his message. I don’t always agree with him but qualities like predictability have become important after the past seven years.
