Ignorant Voters Challenge One’s Sanity

I actually know some of these people.  This conversation showed up on my facebook page.  These people are angry because Obama will not let them vote a ‘split ticket’ in the August Primary Election.  They throw terms around like “constitutional rights”  and “denied the right to vote”.  These people are Trump supports and they are […]

Hillary’s Dignity Tank Is On Empty

John McCain is a sharp politician. Many people have criticized his decisions, his shifting allegances, and his fence-sitting positions in this primary. But he is winning. He has a lot of exerience winning and he has enough foresight to know that he has to make some smooth moves and some hard decisions to unite the […]

The Florida Michigan Vote Solution

Son, I am almost amused at the political posturing by party political party leaders in Florida and Michigan. Charlie Christ, the Governor of Florida, is particularly outspoken. These folks don’t do anything that does not have some political advantage. This 2008 election process has not gone according to anyone’s plan and everyone is posturing after-the-fact. […]

Declaring Independence from Politics as Usual

Son, This is truly an exciting election.  I have said Revolution, and the numbers continue to support that conclusion.  Wisconsin is important.  This state represents a string of victories for Barack Obama – with a two week break before the next big primaries in Texas and Ohio.  But are there any other demographic changes from […]

McCain Supporters torpedo Romney in W. VA.

Son, The West Virginia Republican primary came to an interesting head today. Mitt Romney got the most votes – but not 50%. Huckabee was second and McCain a distant third. The McCain supporters joined ranks with the Huckabee folks and they managed a 52% victory – denying Romney a victory. This is in-your-face politics. Dad

McCains wins Florida – huge for his candidacy

Son, Based on exit polling – John McCain has scored a huge victory. His totals look like they will come in around 31%. It is huge because this give confidence to the people with the money. More money translates into being able to better distribute their message before the Super Tuesday Primaries – one week […]

Obama has the national Delegate lead

Son, This South Carolina primary election is really big.  The Obama campaign was hoping to win up to 20 of the 45 delegates available in South Carolina.  It looks like they will round up over 25 delegates.  Obama already had a couple of delegates lead over Clinton. This clearly puts Obama in the driver’s seat.  […]

Obama Wins South Carolina- AP says Rout!

Son, This is a big day in American Politics. Barack Obama has won the South Carolina Democratic Primary. The Associated Press is calling this victory a rout. The white vote split three ways with Obama, Clinton, and Edwards. What can this mean? Obama continues to show strength. He seemed to lose some steam after Iowa […]

GOP Predictions – McCain and Romney

Son, After the Florida primary the Republican field will shrink. Two candidates will emerge as the front runners. McCain and Romney. McCain will be seen as the establishment candidate. Thompson, Huckabee, and Giuliani will line up with McCain. Ronmey will run as the outsider. He will run as the Republican of change. Not a bad […]

Rudy Giuliani is at Waterloo

Son, Rudy Giuliani is running for Mayor of America.  It isn’t working.  Giuliani was the Mayor of New York City when the planes hit the World Trade Center.  He was a visible, courageous,  forceful leader.  Mr. September 11 has bumbled his campaign for President. Giuiliani has had a strange strategy – He tried to run […]

McCain Wins SC, Huckleberry is second

Son, This is an exciting day in Republican politics.  John McCain, my choice among Republicans, has won South Carolina.  South Carolina consistently picks the Republican nominee.  So today is a good day for America. Huckleberry Huckabee continues to show strength – and that represents an awful trend in America.  Huckleberry is a religious fanatic who […]

Hey Hillary – You go Girl!

Son, It is a great night for Democrats.  The pollsters and pundits, including me, guessed wrong on New Hampshire.  Hillary Clinton has pulled off a win that leaves the Democratic Party in a healthy position to continue this race. John Edwards is saying that he will continue through the convention.  Barack Obama has great strength.  […]

New Hampshire Gender Factor

Son, I don’t believe it.  Not this time.  Not in 2008.  The pundits are trying to analyze the prospects of the candidates in terms of old ideas.   Statistically, which means historically, demographics help predict outcomes.  Not this time. Tim Russert was on NBC News tonight – preaching the same old stuff.  “…New Hampshire has […]
