An Open Letter To Obama Haters
Once again my friend Herb Shane has posted something on facebook that is so well done that I am compelled to cut and paste it into a post on this site. Thanks Herb.
Open letter to the Obama Haters:
To your distress, for most of the rest of your life, you will bear this:
That Barack Obama, whether re-elected or not, will always be President. He will always be the man from a mixed race background that became the President of the US, he and his wife will be welcomed throughout the world by nations and their leaders, the most influential members of the arts and sciences will be their acquaintances and companions. He will be regarded and honored as the President who entered office during a deep recession and two wars and turned the country around.
You will always justify your lack of achievement on the unfairness of every system, your lack of success on the government or regulation, your failure to accomplish anything in a country where impoverished immigrants with limited language skills are succeeding around you on the liberals or the communists or the elites.
The small satisfaction you garner while spouting derisive comments here only exists in your self-delusion and is a pale comfort compared to the reality that exists around you.
You can try to salve your bitter existence with theories of international Kenyan plots or document fraud, whatever.
But that is your future.
Your world will always be limited by your small-mindedness, your associates only those that are as poorly adapted to the world around them, your accomplishments non-existent and your life a bitter existence.
It’s time to move on.
In your journey into denial, you’ve already sacrificed your conscience and whatever claim to character you had.
Your pretense at a deity derived morality is mocked by your myopic hatred of the ‘other’.
Your concept of patriotism is waving a child’s flag on the sidelines as others defend your liberty.
Bush 41 and spouse are living into their nineties.
The Obama’s will too.
You’ll see them at the inaugurals, your TV will tell you of their lives and that of their daughters; of their successes and their trips and the books they write and their accolades.
Make it easy on yourself.
Take a deep cleansing breath and just let go, make the best of your situation. Whether re-elected or not, he will always be the 44th President of the US, and your children and their children will read of him in their history books, the first black man elected president of the US. If not re-elected, he will be healthier and wealthier than he is as President, but he is willing to make that sacrifice for you.
You still live in a free country made more safe and prosperous by your President, and he, the First Lady and their children will always have you in their prayers.
Taking America forward instead of taking America back.

Comment by Bamahater on 28 August 2012:
He will also be known as a black failure and a racist nigger. He will be defeated by the working white man.

“Your concept of patriotism is waving a child’s flag on the sidelines as others defend your liberty.”
Look hippy, I served my time in Iraq, how dare you reduce my service and like minded veterans to that statement.
Obama made the country safe? Funny, I don’t recall seeing him sweating his ass off carrying 40-60 extra lbs of gear, breathing in sandstorm air and running for cover when the mortars came flying in.

I am not nor have I voted for Mr. Obama- but yes, he is president-may be re-elected, we will have to live with that but your naive insights of our character being diminished and your other derogatory adjectives to those of us who choose not to support him are wrong. His presidency has been fraught with mis-steps and his fiscal policies seem contrary to reasonable thinkers- his foreign policy or lack there of have led us to believe that he is NOT the right man for the job. His knee jerk conclusions to some incidents have led many to believe that he himself is a racist- granted- there are a lot of racists-there are lots of sexists, there is still a lot of discrimination in america and across the globe- see the sunni and shi-ite conflicts as one example you may cite or look too but we here on the other side do NOT understand why so many are so entranced and almost zombie like in their support of him. I can look to several examples of his really mis-guided policies or bills that have un-intended consequences and it makes me think of the statment “the road to hell is paved with good intentions” I would like to see drilling in the gulf being an american venture, not brazil, not china and NO, I do NOT want to be their best customer- I do NOT like the arrogance of his new flag- what does one pledge allegiance to with that one- I do not like the “mark your right hand” in support of Mr. Obama and send a video in to “show” your support (I find that one “creepy”) I do NOT like that after our Ambassador and others were killed that he did not say it was terrorism and there had not been any protection for the 9/11/01 anniversary- the way he rules, not governs- by executive order is also quite distasteful. This was the man who said he could unite everyone and now, look, who is united? So, while we will accept that he is the president now-understand that we have reasons to hope that he won’t be re-elected but if he is, yes, we will have to accept it. So, I do agree with that, we will all have to live with it but here on the other side very few people understand the almost cult like following this president has because if it had been any other president there would have been impeachment processes started. We would like to know what policies have been so endearing to those who “love” him and for every valid policy that “lovers of Obama” have, there would be an equal and valid policy that would validate our opposition. The “hate” that you impose on us is equally as confusing as the “love” we attribute to those who support him.

lol this “letter” to the so called Obama Haters just proves to “us” that people like you are mixing alot of people with people like Bamahater whom made a lame comment above. We dont hate President Obama
we just dont like the way the “left” wanna do things it is that simple

The “Open Letter To Obama Haters” says it all! I would further comment that the obvious hatred of this President has, to many people I believe, nothing whatsoever to do with Obama’s politics, but rather it is their rejection of him solely because of his ethnicity! Some, like white supremacists, the KKK, et al openly admit this, while others hide behind politics as their reason to reject him publicly, but privately express their racists views. These people believe that the office of the Presidency should only be held by a white American.
Fortunately, each generation thins out these backward thinking people
until, sometime in the future they will just be a sad footnote in American history.
